Dealing With Union “Professionals”…

My children attend Brunswick schools, which are public schools and in case you didn’t know, public schools employ union teachers. They’re all members of the American Federation of Teachers, led by this guy woman person…

Randi Weingarten

… Randi Weingarten. Here’s a fun fact: Randi makes over $400,000 a year as a union leader! That’s like 9 times the average teacher’s salary in this country! That’s some nice coin!

Another AFT fun fact: Leaders and their sheep-like members contribute heavily to (and obviously vote for) Democrat politicians, including this current administration that’s about to start a shitstorm by attacking Syria (and Russia & China by association).

Oh well, right? The above weren’t the points I wanted to make while writing this.

The American Federation of Teachers claims to be a “A Union of Professionals” on their website. Well here’s an example of how professional one of their members are. I received the following email the other day:

Hi,

I am writing to let you know that Alexis did not turn in his problem of the week. It was due Friday and counts as a take home quiz and counts for 6 points. There will be 5 of these types of assignments this quarter. They will end up being the equivalent of one test. Should your son/daughter choose to not do the other four assignments when they are issued, it will be extremely difficult for him to earn a decent grade this quarter.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Gratefully,

Mr. Deebagh

Couple things to point out about this email…

  1. The daughter mentioned in the email was in his class three years ago.
  2. He referred to her as a male.

So I replied…

Hi Mr. Deebagh,

You’re referring to Brooke, correct? We worked on some homework Thursday evening, and I believe she completed it. We’ll make sure to touch base with her to find out what happened.

Thanks for the heads up.

Here is his reply…

Ty for the correction, sorry for that.

Sometimes the former student’s memory is so fresh that I have to reprogram myself. Alexis can still receive partial credit if I receive it tomorrow.

Gratefully,

Mr. Deebagh

DUDE! You really just said, “Ty for the correction…”? Type the words out, man! We’re not texting, here, and even if we were I’d expect proper spelling and grammar from a member of a “union of professionals.” Then you screwed up again by naming the wrong child; a child that was, again, in your class three years ago!

Turns out, Brooke DID turn the assignment in on Friday and Mr. Deebagh was merely “confused.”

Go figure… That’s your tax dollars at work, people!

Stanford University ~ Sending a Wonderful Message to Young Children Everywhere…

While doing a little writing, I figured I’d put the Rose Bowl on for some good background interference. Well, at halftime the Stanford Band took the field so I watched for a few minutes and was disgusted by what I saw…

014

I realize that I’ve got a differing opinion than a lot of people when it comes to illegal drugs. If ya wanna smoke pot, that’s your deal. But it’s still illegal, so don’t put it on national TV Stanford.

This pisses me off even more since I’ve caught wind of the proliferation of drugs in my local schools recently…. The Brunswick City Schools. Kids aged 13-15 years are smoking weed and it’s all good to them.

Apparently, I’m the evil one for trying to put a stop to it.

But these kids, and kids around the world, are gonna watch this football game and the marching band of an elite school like Stanford, and get messages like the picture above.

It’s total bullshit in my non pot smoking opinion.

The Stanford Band has a history of being controversial, so this will prolly just get overlooked.

It shouldn’t, though… Shame on you, Stanford University, for propagating the drug culture in this country and shame on you, ESPN, for giving that dude a long camera shot.

I hope Wisconsin kicks Stanford’s ass tonight!

In Which I Ask for Your Help ~ For Those We’ve Lost in Brunswick

I initially came up with this blog to be a means for me to vent or just talk about stuff to free up my brain cells so I can stay sharp at work. That hasn’t changed nor will it.

Now, as I’m reaching a much broader audience than facebook and twitter will allow, I can use this blog to maybe help make a difference. Yeah, most of my readers (viewers I suppose?) come to my blog looking for Danica Patrick’s ass or Kate Upton’s boobs…. but not all of ’em!

Here is where I attempt to help.

Yesterday I conveyed some thoughts about the recent tragic car accident that took the lives of Jeff Chaya, Blake Bartchak, Lexi Poerner and Kevin Fox… while leaving Julia Romita in the hospital recovering (heard she’s doing better!).

It’s bittersweet to drive around Brunswick and see all the blue and white ribbons adorning telephone poles, trees, mailboxes etc. in support of these children and their families. I love to see this community come together, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons…

Oh yeah… I’ve talked to people who automatically assume that drugs, alcohol or both (I’ll admit it… I thought that too, initially) were involved in this accident. They weren’t. Blake Bartchak’s brother, Brent, had a real nice interview with Fox 8 news last night. Unfortunately I cannot just embed the video here so I have to provide a link to Fox. Check it out HERE… It’s worth watching all seven minutes to get the real story and Brent’s first hand experience of the hours leading up to the accident.

I normally want blog traffic to see how many visitors I can get…. 3547 in a single day is my record. Tonight and moving forward I want maximum traffic of those who want to help. My blog hits essentially mean nothing… unless people help out.

Go HERE to buy a Brunswick T-shirt in remembrance of the four children we lost with prayers for Julia’s recovery. Here are the choices…

$7 per shirt goes to the families… There’s even a spot to donate if you don’t want to drop the $21 for a shirt.

Please help if you can…

Hug your children and love them every day….

Freakin’ Liberal Nut Job Union Teachers Are Trying To Brainwash My Children

I am so sick of my girls’ teachers trying to brainwash their students into liberalism. Shame on me for not trying to find a way to put the girls into private schools…. that aren’t run by unions. I’m talking to you AFL-CIO!

Thankfully, I’ve put a lot of effort into raising my girls to listen to everything, question if they feel necessary and form their own opinions on various issues.

Here’s why I’m pissed off….

My oldest daughter, Alexis, is a freshman in high school. In her physical science class, the students have to watch a Hollywood film; a fuckin’ Hollywood film, written, produced and distributed ONLY for the financial gain of a one Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. and Paramount Pictures. Yes… the same Al Gore who “invented” this very internet. They have to watch An Inconvenient Truth to learn about “global warming!”

IDIOT

This is comparable to Alexis’ health teacher having the class watch Steven King’s   “The Stand” so they can learn about communicable diseases.

Fuck you Brunswick City Schools for using a politically biased film and selling it as scientifically correct.

Why can’t you teach the fact of science as it is?

There are scientists who, based on limited data*, posit that we’re destroying this planet by driving cars, having kids, producing energy, breathing and feasting off of farting cows (among other things).

There are also scientists who, based on the same limited data*, posit that everything that happens on this rock is cyclical, regardless of human intervention.

If the children were presented with ALL the facts… I’d have no issue at all! That’s not the case, though. The school teaches the same old, worn out… people are bad.. we’re all gonna kill each other!

No matter…. I’ll continue to supplement the limited (union controlled, liberal) education my girls get at school with a true,  fair & balanced education at home.

*When I say limited data… I’m basing it on the history of humans accurately recording air temperatures. That’s 162 years we’ve been recording temps on a planet that’s been around for approximately 4,500,000,000 years.
